The personal information, including health records, of 15 Million Canadians has been comprised in a data breach of LifeLabs. This accounts for 40% of Canada’s total population being exposed in one cyberattack. We discuss the structures that allow for cyberattacks to flourish and how government can curb this phenomenon.
