Dr. Eric Griggs, MD... "Doc Griggs” is the health and wellness awareness persona of Eric D. Griggs, M.D., a New Orleans-based Community Medicine Doctor and Health Educator who has dedicated his professional life to raising health and wellness awareness in the communities across the country. In addition to being recently appointed as an Assistant Professor at the LSU School of Medicine, Adjunct Professor for the Xavier University College of Pharmacy and continued role as Director of Community Medicine at Access Health Louisiana, just to name a few. Dr. Griggs proudly serves as the founder and Executive Director of the Doc Griggs Foundation, a community-driven, student-activated and professionally mentored organization that promotes community health by empowering the community to ‘Get Checked. Dr. MarkAlain Dery is an infectious disease physician and epidemiologist with Access Health Louisiana- the most extensive Medicaid-providing clinic system in Louisiana. Dr. Dery serves as the Medical Director of infectious diseases and Chief Innovation Officer. Dr. Dery has over 23 years of experience and has been at the forefront of the COVID pandemic, offering his expertise and recommendations affecting the most medically needy in Louisiana. He was the medical director for the countries first public COVID testing site. He served on the COVID Public Health commission for New Orleans Mayor Latoya Cantrell and was responsible for weekly reviews of the medical literature and presenting them directly to the Mayor's office and health commissioner. Dr. Dery has also been a medical responder to global catastrophes such as Hurricane Katrina, the 2010 Haiti earthquake and worked as a clinical field epidemiologist for the World Health Organization during the 2014-15 Ebola virus epidemic in Sierra Leone.
