- What makes good music? (Beat? Lyrics?)

- What kind of music is helpful for you?

- What kind of music isn't helpful?

Ultimately, see if you can try to get into the world of your student and help them think about what they listen to. What they listen to will influence their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
