Kelly King has spent her life working in ministry. We have both benefited from her ministry and have been on the front row to experience her leadership! Growing up at Council Road Baptist Church in Oklahoma City with her as a youth leader was awesome.
Kelly now lives in the Nashville area with her husband, Vic. They have been married for 35 years and have two grown kids. She works for Lifeway Ministries, training women in leadership and ministry, and working with the ministry magazines along with having her own podcast, The Marked Podcast.
We talk today about going through the Refiner's fire. To be like Christ, we, too, will have to walk through some suffering. Kelly experienced this when her husband had some debilitating eye struggles and had to have surgeries. It threw him into clinical depression so strong she was not sure at times if their marriage would survive it. Depression is hard and awful for the person in it, but also for those around them. She shares honestly and openly about the realness of all of it, and she invites us to hear her heart in the matter. Kelly inspires us to say a simple and powerful yes to the Lord.
