In this episode Dennis discusses the issue of conformity from Elliot Aronson's book "The Social Animal." In it, Aronson discusses how people conform through compliance, identification, or internalization. We've seen how this has played out in Covid policies over the last two years but we can see the same thing in the Church as well. Conformity is not the problem; we all conform to something. To what we are conforming is the real issue and the main concern is how we get ourselves and others to conform to that thing.
If you have any questions or comments that you'd like Dennis to address you can shoot him an email to [email protected]
And if you'd like to support his ministry with InFaith you can text the word "discipleship" to 41444 or head over to https://infaith.org/dennis-sutherby and give there.
