EPISODE SUMMARY:
- This past weekend was my daughter's bat mitzvah and although I didn't feel stressed about the whole thing, it did take a lot of time off my regular routine. The Saturday before my daughter's party, I went to a party and had a few drinks. I wasn't feeling well on the way home and was sent to the emergency room. The doctors took a lot of tests and could not really find a reason for my sickness but I knew that it was because I overworking myself and not listening to what my body needed.
- Why are we so good at ignoring what our body needs? We continue to push through and break down once our bodies have had enough. It was as if going to the ER was my body yelling at me and telling myself to slow down!
- So for you, are you listening to what your body needs? Are you giving yourself the self-care that you need? Take this as my reminder to you today, It's okay to slow down and give yourself a break!
