Today’s episode is all about meditation for writers! We’re chatting with certified yoga instructor Rita Sotolongo on how writers can use meditation to take care of their minds and enhance their writing practice. In this episode we discussed:
Rita Sotolongo is a published poet and registered yoga teacher in Orlando, Florida. Over the years, she’s learned to integrate her two passions in order to keep sane in a chaotic world. This led to the development of her method for self-discovery combining yoga with writing—a practice she shares in workshops intended to help people breathe and breakthrough mental, emotional, and creative blocks. Her publications include poetry in Black Fox Literary Magazine, Parentheses Journal, and Petite Hound Press as well as a short story in the 2017 Florida Writers Association annual collection, and one in the 2018 Demonic Household Anthology. She is a wife, mother, and step-mom, and when not writing or practicing yoga, she spends her time navigating the domestic arena. Learn more about Rita by visiting yogaandwriting.com.
Rita hangs out on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and her website.
