This drama tackles the subject matter from courtroom trials to prison system, and this drama focuses on the story of a superstar baseball player pitcher, Kim Je-Hyuk who convicted assault by using excessive force against the man that tries to sexually assault his sister. Je-Hyuk finds himself having to adapt to life in prison. This drama keeps things simple following the daily routines of inmates and touches on stories of select prisoners and also the lives of some of the correctional officers. Prison Playbook is very much a character driven drama, where each character is grounded and realistic, yet with heart warming stories, life lessons and some offbeat comedy.
