As per the WHO, Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients (adults and children) and their families who are facing problems associated with a life-threatening illness.
The need for palliative care has never been greater. Non-communicable diseases like cancer are on the rise. At present, in India, we have around 30 lakh people with cancer at any given time. To share more insights, I invited Dr. Vidya, a well-respected physician in the field of Palliative Care as the guest on my show today.
