📖 Matt 6, 5-7 TPT
Whenever you pray, be sincere and not like the pretenders who love the attention they receive while praying before others in the meetings and on street corners. Believe me, they've already received in full their reward. 6 But whenever you pray, go into your innermost chamber and be alone with Father God,[f] praying to him in secret. And your Father, who sees all you do, will reward you openly.7 When you pray, there is no need to repeat empty phrases, praying like those who don't know God,[g] for they expect God to hear them because of their many words.

Welcome to these "Word by Heart" devotionals. They were recorded during the 2020 Covid-19 lock-down and it is hoped they will stir up a deeper love of Scripture and a greater hunger for God's presence in your life, whether in or out of times of crisis.
They consist of some of Jessica's favorite Bible stories and passages, and most center around Jesus' Sermon on the Mount as found in Matthew.
We have decided to share in the order in which they were recorded during LockDown, rather than the Biblical order. They build one on the other, as Jessica leads you through some of the insights that she gained during the process of memorizing and verbally presenting them to audiences over the past few years.
