Aussie muso Youka Manuka hails from Port Douglas in far north Queensland, with roots in Japan and New Zealand. It's no surprise her mixed cultural heritage has influenced her musical style and abilities.

Since moving to Berlin with her music producer boyfriend, they formed electronic group "Killbot Kindergarten". Youka is also talented violin and shamisen player where she's involved in the Japanese community performing with the Mitsune Trio. Not to mention she often gigs around town with the jazz trio Zap (with Gabrielle Miller - ep 9). PHEW! What a talent. Tune in and catch her live - details of gigs below!
