The Weekly Call

Ep 120 | Financing Your Freedom

Listen Later

How do you navigate competitors and integrity at the same time?

In Episode 120; “Financing Your Freedom”, John gives an example of how he markets his business to customers who he actually thinks his services are best for and compares that integrity against companies who try to sell their business regardless of who it truly benefits.

“There’s integrity in knowing your weaknesses are, who your business is for and who it’s not for. When you’re up against a competitor it is so disingenuous to just talk trash.” (1:55, John Morgan III)

“I believe in something called the mirror which is usually that gossip is a form of judgement and whatever you judge people for is a reflection of some sort of insecurity in yourself.” (1:59, Amer)

Listeners, take this week’s podcast to reflect on when you last passed judgment on someone. Do you think it is possible for this judgement to have formed from your own insecurities? Would you agree with Amer that this created some type of negative feedback loop? Slide in our DMs to tell us about your story!
