It’s 80% mindset, 20% business tactics.
In this week’s episode, Amer discusses the efforts gone into building the winning formula for running a business.
I was so focussed on just the tactics that I sort of just assumed everyone knew what we knew - about feedback loops, how to build your identity, the power of stories.
To build the entire program took an X amount of time and the mindset week took three times that amount of time, drawing from the conversations in this podcast, landmarks leaderships, quotes from John – for example when there are times that there’s a second voice in your head creating connections and ideologies, it’s important to recognize that the voice isn’t you. (Robert Greene)
Earlier on in the episode, Austin discusses how he dealt with a tough situation - without the wisdom of our stoic, John Morgan III. As soon as that police officer peels off, it’s me versus me. He’s gone and I’m never going to see him again - maybe I’ll see him again when I go to fight the ticket? But I will never be in that exact same situation on that exact same day ever again - and I really became present to this surprise event which was extremely negative –
I had just realized that I am not impacted by this (in the grand scheme of things) and I am suffering more in my imagination than in reality.
