Pastor Todd has said for many years that the Old Testament is a physical example of a New Testament spiritual reality. Today he share with us about the relationship of rain in the Old Testament to the pouring out of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. We know that a drought produces famine because nothing will grow. If you are suffering from a famine, what do you pray for? You pray for rain. What does it mean when the Holy Spirit is poured out on God's people? What is the difference between the early rain and the latter rain? Pastor Todd explains this and teaches us about Pentecost as the early rain and there is another rain which is the harvest, the latter rain.

Jesus' return brings the harvest but just before the Lord returns there will be the late rain, a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit on God's people in the world. We can pray for that rain. What must happen for the late rain, the outpouring to come?
