Trying something new on this episode - reacting to a segment I heard on the radio.
On the drive home today, while popping around the radio dial, I heard a tease that a local talk radio station was going to discuss recent state test scores for schools in Baltimore - only 13% were proficient or above.
My ears immediately perked up at the discussion of education and/or test scores, so I listened later on the Audacy app and shared my reaction here in real-time. Baltimore has a lot in common with St. Louis is many ways - former industrial city, baseball, race riots and social justice protests...AND struggling schools.
