I do admittedly think of the Roman Empire at least once a week as I put my daily Bible reading of Christ and the early church into context, but I think about it even more since we all started asking!

That dynamic reminded me of this game my students used to play called "The Game" - the only way to win the game was to not think about "The Game," and as soon as you thought of winning, you'd already lost.
