Growing up in Shanghai and influenced by the city’s historic landscape and high energy, Echo Mah developed a unique viewpoint on art and design from a young age. She started writing for Chinese magazines while in high school and realized her passion for the world of storytelling. After college, she decided to move to New York City and pursue her career as a creative professional.
In the past 15 years she has become a well-versed creative director who’s been working in the luxury, fashion, and beauty industries in the US. She is currently at Tiffany, the world renowned jeweler, leading both global and China projects. Before joining Tiffany, she spent 3 years at Sephora’s North America headquarter as a senior art director in San Francisco, where she worked on various ad campaigns, photo & video shoots, and digital innovative experience like in-store AR.
With her background and experience, Echo has a deep understanding of both of the Asian and western cultures. It has become her daily work routine to navigate the current social platforms and trends in both worlds. She believes that even though people/consumers from different backgrounds may have different customs, they do often share the same emotions. And in order to create a successful campaign, we need to create a connection with the audience.
In her free time, Echo loves reading, working out, vintage shopping, and a glass of good wine.
