Beth Thorp is an author, wife, and mother. She is also co-founder and executive director of the Mitchell Thorp Foundation, a foundation that she and her husband established to honor their oldest son Mitchell who died from a mysterious debilitating disease at the age of 18. Her book is titled ANEW Creation: Finding Meaning in the Midst of Tragedy. She tells the story of her and her family’s struggles with Mitchell’s illness and how their Christian faith and support from family, friends, and community brought them through. They eventually turned their personal tragedy into a foundation that has had a direct positive impact on assisting thousands of other children and families struggling with illness.
