On this episode, Shwa Laytart interviews Abel Horwitz, Producer and Co-Writer of "Abandon", an immersive horror show exploring the depraved mind of the Marquis De Sade, playing at Vegas Theatre Company.
Writer, producer and performer, Abel Horwitz has found a career in the subversive. In 2013 he helped create Urban Death: Tour of Terror at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre, which quickly became one of LA’s top haunted houses. In 2014 he started Serial Killer Speed Dating — actual speed dating, but hidden among the daters is a “serial killer” just dying to meet them.
In 2018 he produced Urban Death at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe — the largest performing arts festival in the world — to ★★★★★ reviews and sold-out houses. Working with companies such as Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios and Clubhouse, Abel continues to seek out weird and wonderful ways to delight audiences.
Abandon is playing at Vegas Theatre Company starting October 5th, 2023
