Hey Beauties!

Today, I had my friend Melissa Clarke as a guest, to share value on a few different topics:

- Boundaries & giving yourself permission to set them

- Letting go of expectations of others actions

- How we can move forward with more clarity, and less anger inside, as it does not serve us

- Not needing an apology - & how you can release the negative feelings on your own

- How judgement is a MIRROR ..

Below, I will break down the exercise we talked about in the podcast, so you can do it too!

The book Melissa referenced is called Loving What Is by Byron Katie.

The Practice she spoke of from her was called “Judging Your Neighbor”.

This is where you write down why you are angry, hurt, upset, confused with a person.

Get very specific about why you are hurt.

Next... you will turn it around and everywhere you wrote you, replace it with I.

Example: I wish you would show up more. I hate that you don’t try. I am angry because you are fake.

..... Now read it: I wish I would show up more. I hate that I don’t try. I am angry because I am fake.

Sit with it. I did not think I was any of these things I wrote about my person, until I was.

And it was clear. Judgment is a mirror.

We look for happiness from others when we need to find happiness within ourselves.

Remember:

This is not an exercise to give the other person a cop out of their actions,

but you will be able to own your actions, see clearly, and be able to hand theirs back without the story you have been telling yourself.

You will come back from a place of compassion when you can see their weaknesses,

and understand, because you are learning to own your own flaws too!

Embrace the lessons and let go of the thoughts! You are in control of you!
