BoML goes back in time, to Stoke on Trent. The lair of Dec O’Reilly, one half of the infamous O’Reilly Bros, poundshop Gallaghers that run that town. From laying down some attention arresting Ska-core in Stokey legends Sense of Urgency, Dec’s swung about face into the pure tune-smithery of Only Strangers. They may not be prolific but that’s no character flaw and god dammit, good things are coming in small packages here. You dear listener should make the effort to pin these boys down, perhaps at the Evil Hoof Picnic in Mcr in July, and then add some further glowing words of praise the world wide web. Album is out now on Horn & Hoof records and a new EP due this year.
