What is going to fulfill our lives? Life is a list of things that lead us to fulfillment. But, how are we going to figure out what is best for us? How are we going to identify God’s will for our lives? Discernment is the answer. It is to make a decision based on what we have learned or understood. We need to get to know the heart, mind, will, and action of God to discern His plan for our lives.

It is possible to figure out God’s plan for our lives. Fr. Rob Galea gives us 5 ways to discern the will of God:

1. Ask God what He wants from our lives
2. Stop and listen to God
3. Ask ourselves what we enjoy
4. Ask others for spiritual direction
5. Do it Afraid

Let us not be distracted by what is good, especially when it keeps us from what is best! Let us keep our eyes and be focused on God’s best plan for our lives.
