Ep. #131- Pediatric Physician and Cancer Survivor Dr. Jennifer Pratt Inspires You to Never Give Up and to Help Make a Child’s WISH Come True
When your child is battling a life-threatening illness, nothing is better than having a pediatric physician who is taking extremely good care of your child. Even better is when that same physician has had experience of childhood illness too. Dr. Jennifer Pratt is a pediatrician who, at the age of 10, battled cancer. She got well after numerous surgeries, chemotherapy, and physical therapy. During those struggles, she made a special wish to visit Disney World with her family and the Make-A-Wish Organization made that wish come true. That was a life-changing event for her. She decided to become a pediatric physician and has been helping children and their families as they face the challenges of illness. Importantly, she is a part of the Make-A-Wish Organization, as she personally knows what a tremendous impact a child’s wish can have on their mental and physical health.
