Dr Soph is a clinical psychologist with a personal mission to get psychology out of the therapy room and into people’s lives in a way that works for them.
In this episode we talk about her brilliant new book
‘A Manual for Being Human’ - a book that I absolutely loved! It’s so practical - it’s packed full of super useful tools and techniques that you can start using right away - and it’s also full of love and compassion too. Dr Soph is like a really kind, wise and loving friend who can reassure you, empower you and teach you practical tools to help you to move forward. But who is also a doctor!
She has an Undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Masters in Neuroscience and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has worked on the frontline at London’s Homerton Hospital. Realising the system wasn’t working for so many people, she left behind her traditional role as a clinical psychologist in the NHS and has helped thousands manage their emotional wellbeing by sharing her psychological knowledge on Instagram, her blog and through her online private practice.
She is also an expert for the mindfulness app, ‘Happy Not Perfect’ and has been featured in global outlets including Vice Magazine, Girlboss, Psych Central, Well + Good and Elite Daily.
