In this special episode of Knit A Spell, I’m sharing my personal experience with Hurricane Milton and how I used a protection sigil, magic, and knitting to keep myself, my family, and our home safe.  

As the eye of the storm passed directly over Sarasota, Florida, I combined practical action with magical intention to create a spell jar for protection. Using water from Hurricane Helene, Good Luck Oil from Madame Pamita, and a sigil I designed, I crafted a powerful protection spell—and then turned to knitting to keep myself grounded through the chaos.  

In this episode, I’ll walk you through: 

• How I created and activated my protection sigil  

• The magical elements I used, including hurricane water and ice cubes

• My knitting project during the storm: a center-out shawl that became a tarot spread cloth  

• Reflections on how magic and knitting work together to bring calm in stressful times
