Today, we are honored to host an incredible guest, Professor Alan Shebaro, a 4th-degree Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, a decorated military veteran, co-founder of the nonprofit We Defy Foundation, and a dedicated coach who has made a significant impact in the martial arts community. 🥋🎖️
Earning his Black Belt from Carlos Machado in 2004 and currently ranked under Professor Chris Haueter, Alan is the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt in the Special Forces Regiment. During his deployments in Iraq, he trained a wide range of elite operators, from U.S. Army Special Forces and Rangers to Navy SEALs and Marine Force Recon, proving the effectiveness of Jiu-Jitsu in real-world situations. 💪
Back in Texas, Alan has continued to make a difference by training law enforcement professionals, including the FBI Hostage Rescue Team and Federal Law Enforcement, in Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics (LEDT). 🚔
🌟 With an unwavering commitment to his students, Alan not only trains top athletes of all ages and backgrounds in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Wrestling but also imparts the valuable lessons he learned while actively competing in national and international competitions. 🏆
🏋️♂️ Alan's passion for growth and excellence extends beyond Jiu-Jitsu, as evidenced by his foray into Olympic Weightlifting in 2012. Within a year, he placed 2nd at the 2012 USAW Masters American Open and set two state records at the 2013 USAW Texas State Championships. 🏋️♂️
