Welcome back to Emerging Entrepreneurs, in this episode I had the pleasure of interviewing my good friend, Elena Pham. Elena is the President of the University of Central Florida chapter Hearts for the Homeless and also helped start a new chapter at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Hearts for the Homeless is an organization that gives free blood screenings to the homeless as well as other health services. In this episode, Elena talks about what led her to the organization and how she eventually transitioned into becoming President. Also, Elena shares some of the misconceptions the majority of people have about the homeless population. Doing this interview with Elena really opened my eyes as she states some statistics in the episode that made me a bit uneasy. I've known Elena since the beginning of college back in 2015 and to see where she is now makes me really proud to call her a good friend of mine.
