A Rhode Island native, trumpeter Julian Dessler had an early introduction to music from his father - a renown touring saxophonist and was always playing records from artists like Steely Dan, Tower of Power to John Coltrane.
Now at the age of 28, Julian has already made a name for himself performing with the likes of Terence Blanchard, Antonio Sanchez, Turkuaz, The Main Squeeze, Spiritual Rez, to pop/opera superstar Josh Groban.
In our conversation piece we talk about his early years at Indiana State University where he refined his technical skills before transferring to Berklee College of Music where he develop himself as an artist. We also talk about his experiences on tour to being a talent manager for Aloft Seaport in South Boston.
