Edified: Insights for LDS Women
Ep 14: Mind-Body Bridging -- A Conversation with Niki Olsen (conclusion)
This week is a continuation of last week's interview with Niki Olsen from nikiolsencoaching.com. Niki is a licensed clinical mental health counselor who teaches Mind-Body Bridging, a process that helps LDS women enrich their connection to themselves and to the members of the Godhead. Besides Niki's expertise with Mind-Body Bridging, in this episode, Niki also discusses themes such as the comparison trap, seeking personal revelation, developing empathy, and more.
KEY POINTS:
Mind-Body Bridging
Routine
Rising before sunrise, during those quiet hours of the early morning, gives us an opportunity to set the tone and mood of our day. During rare periods of time when I have held to this pattern, I can honestly say my scripture study, personal prayers, and journal writing were more meaningful and filled with greater insights and inspiration.
Empathy
We don't have to have the exact same experience with someone in order to feel empathy for them. Empathy connects us with others and helps us become instruments in the Lord's hands to minister to His children.
Coming Tonight on Instagram!
Join Niki and I live on Instagram tonight (July 19th) at 7:00 PM. We will be diving into President Nelson's talk, "Opening the Heavens for Help." Go to @nikiolsencoaching and click on the box in her feed.
