Mohammed Magdi’s an Egyptian stand-up comic living in Shanghai.

In 2012 he was living in Cairo and things started to get messy. A chain of events forced him to leave and he wound up teaching English to Chinese students in the city of Changchun, Jilin province. This is a story about an old city and arguably the most significant event in the last few hundred years.
