This time of year your email inbox gets filled with invoices, receipts, and shipping notifications more than any other time. Because of that, you are much more likely to receive SPAM and other bogus emails that are 'phishing' you to click on links and provide information to inappropriate actors.

"Phishing is the activity of defrauding an online account holder of financial information by posing as a legitimate company." 

You should always be paying attention to links and attachments in any email you click on but especially around this time of year. Since you are expecting many packages and spending much more money, it is probable you will be much more likely to fall victim to malicious links or attachments in holiday season phishing attempts.

In this quick episode, we discuss a few quick tips on avoiding falling for the scams that will get you sharing too much information to the wrong people.
