Robert Hendershott is a finance professor, hedge fund CIO, and evangelist for a philosophy he calls "ingenuism". Ingenuism comes from the thesis that human progress stems, at its core, from ingenuity - the unique human amalgamation of curiosity and ambition. Nurturing ingenuity is the most important thing that a culture can do: there is no ceiling on what a society that promotes connection, exploration, discovery, and learning can accomplish.
