You may have heard the sentence, "It takes money to make money" regarding investments, meaning that you need to pay for the initial costs of a business/economic venture before you can turn a profit in the long term. The same can be said for time. Sometimes, you have to purposely spend time doing something upfront (planning, exercising, etc.) in order to make more meaningful and intentional decisions later on.
