OK so I leaned into a meme for the title of this episode and I think I just died a little inside! This episode is all about our obsession with new things, like magpies with shiny objects.

It's something I've been thinkng about for a long time because as a content creator there is a certain amount of expectation around constantly making something "NEW".

But the problem is new doesn't always equal better. And often we can miss the better that is right there in search of the new.

This comes as I have recently made the move to go to two older social media channels: YouTube and Twitch. YouTube specifically for the reason that thingss on there aren't popular because they are new, they're popular because they're valuable. And the value of those videos (just like the value of these podcast episodes) can hold and even increase over time.
