Javeayah Harris was reported missing on Tuesday, June 30, from her home near Hillsboro Street and Ridgecrest Road in Aiken. According to Aiken County Sheriff Marty Sawyer, the parents of a 4-year-old girl "poured" her remains into a lake in South Carolina after dissolving them with chemicals.
Although some of Javeayah Harris's remains were discovered, the sheriff stated that it is doubtful that all of her remains will ever be recovered.
On Thursday, Sawyer said an inquiry revealed that the girl's parents, Michilae Herring and Johnmarea Harris, reportedly dissolved her body using "corrosive chemicals and other tools."
Sawyer claimed that after the two dumped what was left of her remains into Fairfield County's Cedar Creek Reservoir, some of them were found.
