Life is busy. It's hectic and sometimes it is downright hard. I am sometimes amazed at how hard it is to respond to someone's question when they ask me how my week was. Too often, I honestly don't even remember many details of the day. I've come to realize how important it is to prioritize what really is important to me. For me, that's connection with my loved ones. But, I'm a task driven mama and have had to learn how to pay attention to all of the small things, in addition to the big things, that my child does. Their behavior is the window into my child's "world". But, I have to pay attention to learn what that world is like. In today's episode, I give you 5 different things to observe. The amazing thing is, when you pay attention to these things you will often times naturally know exactly what you can do to support your Autistic child...because you will have a better understanding of how they "tick" in a nonjudgmental and loving way.
