Today I'm talking about the difference between an outlandish goal in your personal life (a Why Not dream) vs having goals in your business.
When you have a Why Not dream, you think of all the ways you could reach your goal. Even though it seems like a crazy goal to have because it's unlikely you'll reach it, your brain still thinks of ways to make it happen.
Your brain will tell you things like, "Why not try this and see if it works?" "Okay if that doesn't work, why not try this?" And then you'll keep trying different things, as an experiment, to see what works and what doesn't work.
This comes from the excitement of thinking that it "might" be possible. You don't care if you fail when you try to reach your goal, and you just keep trying because it's fun.
But this is opposite from what happens in your business. You set a goal, and instead of feeling excitement, it feels overwhelming. You're afraid to try because it seems like you'll never get there. Or when you do try and it doesn't work out, you want to quit.
This is why we need to think about our businesses more like a Why Not dream. Why not try something and see if it works? And why not keep trying until it does?
In this episode, you'll learn how to think of your business differently, and keep going whenever something doesn't work out.
