WTF is food freedom even? It's two words strung together by health coaches all over the internet (including myself) that depicts a life outside dieting... or something like that. In reality, food freedom doesn't seem to have a set definition and it's pretty subjective to what it means according to the person using the term. Regardless, what I don't want you to think is that food freedom and going down a path that leads to intuitive eating means you get to eat whatever the f*ck you want without a care in the world. In actuality, food freedom requires some responsibility - the responsibility you take on to ensure your body is getting what it needs to thrive so your hormones can signal appropriately and your brain can make sound decisions. In this episode, I break down how calories, macronutrients, and micronutrients play critical roles within the body as well as how creating a balanced diet and lifestyle is critical for finding real food freedom.
