Today we're reading about the tower of Babel, a story demonstrating humans' ambition and pride - thinking we can get to God or become like him by our own efforts - and God's decision to humble us, in order to show us that he is the all powerful one that we depend on (a theme throughout the entire Bible). Then we continue the genealogy we started in Genesis 10, ending today with a man named Abram, who we'll be seeing a lot more of from here on out.
