Welcome back to another episode of with the chiefs. Today we are going to be continuing with the “how to race any distance” series with a focus now on “how to run and train for a FAST 5km event.
To help us with this question, we are joined by Sam Shiell. Sam is an incredibly fast and consistent runner who has taken his 5km time down from 16:28 to 14:54 within a few short years. Not only has Sam broken the illustrious sub 15 barrier but he has also recently taken down the sub 4 1500 barrier running 3:59 at the Bankstown Milers Race.
