In this episode of The Calibration Podcast, we take a careful look at one of the most loaded words in modern culture: diversity.
At its most basic level, diversity simply means the presence of differences within a group. But today, the word often carries political, moral, and ideological baggage. So how should Christians think about it?
We’ll look at the global and historical diversity of Christianity, what Scripture says about ethnic and cultural distinction, and why biblical unity does not require every person or culture to become the same. But we’ll also ask where modern social justice thinking goes wrong when diversity is treated as the highest moral value.
The Bible affirms human dignity, warns against favoritism, calls for personal responsibility, and commands compassion for the vulnerable. That gives Christians a better framework than either rejecting diversity outright or embracing every modern application of it without discernment.
Biblical diversity is real difference submitted to a greater unity in Christ.
