One important thing you can do to help with the timeline is communicate with your wedding coordinator about what you want your wedding day to feel like. Be open and honest about your desires. If you don’t, you could run the risk of a marathon day that leaves you feeling exhausted.

 

There’s a process to creating a couple’s wedding timeline, and a few things the couple needs to know to get started. You should consider what takes up the most time to make sure those can fit in. Photographers can work within your timeline by getting some of the detail shots while you’re getting ready.

 

Planning for your first look and doing it how you want is something you shouldn’t waiver on, but the way you go about it is totally up to you. You can do a first look with any member of your family, including a parent or grandparent. This is definitely something you want to have on your timeline in advance so your photographer can capture it just the way you want them to.

 

Also remember to give yourself some time to get photos before sunset – it’s always nice to have natural light photos as opposed to only flash photos. That way you can be confident you’ve captured some of your most important photos so all that’s left at the reception are the quicker, easier ones with your other guests.
