On today's episode we hear from Dr. Lauren Clay, Associate Professor and Department Chair in the UMBC Emergency Health Services Department. We discuss how food security is impacted by natural disasters, and how social scientists can study this phenomenon in an effort to improve outcomes. Then, Jefferson, Sophia and I review the disaster politics research of Dr. Brian Grodsky, Professor and Chair of UMBC's political science department.
