EP 15: Roberto Aguilar - Helping NASA Explore The Moon

Listen Later

Roberto Aguilar is a UCF Postdoctoral Researcher working at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in the Explorations Systems and Development Office. He is currently working on the Mass Spectrometer Observing Lunar Operations (known as MSolo) project. This project is currently targeted to launch its first mission on a commercial lander to the moon in June 2021. We spoke with Roberto about all of the schooling that it took to get him to where he is today, what the MSolo project requires in order to be ready to launch into space, and whether or not he himself would go to space if he could.
