While the group Friends of the River Yarrow formed primarily to ensure the entire environment on and around the River Yarrow in Lancashire has been restored, there is no no denying that fish have probably been the main beneficiaries. It has quite literally gone from running sewer to running Salmon, and stands out as an object lesson to others who may want to restore lost fisheries to their former glory.
