This week Lynx presents the story of actress Valerie Bertinelli and her 26 year marriage to guitarist Eddie Van Halen.

Valerie was just 15 years old when she was thrust into the spotlight on the hit tv show One Day at a Time. From there came a solid career in TV in both series and films. At age 20 Valerie was invited backstage at a Van Halen show and 8 months later her and Eddie would be married.

Though their love for one another was strong, each of them had their own demons they were battling, Ed, drug and alcohol abuse and Valerie, body dysmorphia and disordered eating. Through extreme highs and lows the pair stuck it out for 26 years, had one son, Wolfgang, and then discovered a newfound friendship in one another after the divorce.
