Last week, we explored what makes the Church in Thessalonica a 5-star church, fully devoted to the Word of God. Today, we dive into how we, as individuals, can become 5-star followers of Jesus, thereby contributing to a 5-star church.
In this message, Adam Woods, Associate Minister at THE CROSSING, guides us through 1 Thessalonians 1:3, highlighting three essential characteristics of a 5-star follower: faith, love, and hope. Just as a 5-star recruit in sports stands out through tireless effort and dedication, we are called to grow in our faith, labor in love, and endure with hope.
- Faith Gives: Trusting God in all things and taking action based on that trust.
- Love Serves: Living a life of love, imitating Jesus, and serving others sacrificially.
- Hope Testifies: Sharing the hope we have in Jesus with gentleness and respect.
Adam encourages us to examine our lives and take practical steps to grow in these areas, just as the Thessalonians did. By doing so, we can ensure our church is a beacon of faith, love, and hope in our community and beyond.
