Penélope Cruz won Best Supporting Actress at the 2009 Oscars for Vicky Christina Barcelona. This was her second nomination (she has had 3 in total) but her first and only win. Her fellow nominees included Amy Adams for Doubt, Viola Davis for Doubt, Marisa Tomei for The Wrestler, and Taraji P. Henson for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. My advice for anyone wanting to watch these performances: don’t get stoned and watch. Mama was REALLLL emotional for Benjamin Button and The Wrestler is VERY graphic. A little too intense for a chill buzz ya know?
