Hey Guys, Welcome back to the GraftedIn Podcast!
This Episode, the lads sit down to discuss the difference between 'Godly' & 'Ungodly' suffering.
What does it mean to be suffering? Are we justified to complain about Suffering? As Christians we have a natural tendency to try and one up each other when we talk about "our sufferings", rather than sympathise and build each other up in our faith. But if we're totally honest, most of the time the 'sufferings' we complain about, either:
1. Aren't really anything worth mentioning compared to other believers around the world. (Especially those of us who live in western society).
2. Are self-inflicted consequences of our own poor decisions OR
3. Are opportunities God is wanting to use for our personal spiritual growth & maturity.
Tune in to hear the boys talk about how in their own lives, poor decisions, ungodly action and even inaction to Godly guidance have shaped the way they look at 'suffering' as a means of opportunity to grow and learn, rather then to whine and moan.
"BLESSED are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
BLESSED are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
REJOICE and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
~ Matthew 5:10-12
