Verbal behavior is just BUILT DIFFERENT. What I mean, is that verbal behavior, as a behavioral concept sometimes takes me a little while to digest and understand. This paper is no exception. However, the payoff for understanding the complexities of this article is immense. By breaking down intraverbal tacting with and without autoclitic frame training, these authors make a case for precise programming and timing of verbal behavior goals. The question they ask is simple. Does intraverbal tacting appear quicker when the learner is taught with an autoclitic frame requirement or with traditional conditional discrimination strategies? At least for me, the answer surprised me! By listening to this podcast and reading this article, you can expect to have a much stronger understanding of the intraverbal tacting concepts, as well as an appreciation for the amount of instructional control the autoclitic exerts over our own verbal behavior.
